Eligibility

A bridging open work permit (BOWP) lets you keep working while you wait for the results of your permanent residence application.

You may be eligible if you applied to one of the permanent residence programs below

• Permanent residence using Express Entry

• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

• Quebec skilled workers

• Home Child-Care Provider Pilot or Home Support Worker Pilot

• Caring for children class or caring for people with high medical needs class

• Agri-Food Pilot

Document Checklist

• Application of Change Conditions, Extend my stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker (IMM5710)

• Photocopies of passport pages

• Photocopies of your travel or identity document

• Photocopy of your current immigration document

• Proof of payment

• Letter from the provincial government that confirms the province has nominated you for permanent residence

• Two Photo meeting the requirements of the Visa application photograph specifications, link. On the back of the two photos, write your name and date of birth.
