Eligibility

You can study in Canada for less than 6 months without a study permit if you have valid visitor status. Depending on your situation, you’ll need one of the following: a Visitor Visa (temporary resident visa) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

 

Document Checklist

• Application for Temporary Residence Visa (IMM5257)

• Family Information form (IMM5707)

• Fee payment in an acceptable format

• A Photocopy of the information page of your valid passport or travel document

• Two Photo meeting the requirements of the Visa application photograph specifications, link. On the back of the two photos, write your name and date of birth.

• Proof of Financial Support

• Photocopy of your Marriage License/Certificate

• Purpose of Travel

• Photocopy of your current immigration status

• Minors travelling alone or with one parent must provide custody documents or a letter of authorization from the other non accompanying parent of a letter of authorization sighed by both parents or legal guardians.

• Any additional documents required by the responsible visa office.
