Eligibility
To be eligible for a PR card, you must:

be a permanent resident of Canada;
-
be physically present in Canada;
-
meet the residency requirement (see Appendix A: Residency obligation);
-
not be under an effective removal order;
-
not be a Canadian citizen; and
-
not be convicted of an offense related to the misuse of a PR card
Document Checklist

Application for a Permanent Resident Card or Permanent Resident Travel Document (IMM5444)
-
Proof of residency requirements if you were outside of Canada for 1095 days or more in the past five(5) years.

Proof of payment
-
Two Photo meeting the requirements of the Visa application photograph specifications, link. On the back of the two photos, write your name and date of birth.

Copy of one(1) primary identity document

Your PR card
-
Request for a Change of Sex or Gender Identifier(IRM 0002) if applicable
-
Confirmation of Eligibility for a Reclaimed Name Change Gratis Replacement Document Under Call to Action 17(IRM 0004)if applicable
-
Statutory Declaration to Reclaim an Indigenous Name on Canadian Citizenship Certificates or Permanent Resident Cards(IRM0005)if applicable
