Eligibility

To be eligible for a super visa, you must:

• be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada

• have a signed letter from your child or grandchild who invites you to Canada

• have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company

 

Document Checklist

• Application for Temporary Residence Visa (IMM5257)

• Family Information form (IMM5707)

• Fee payment in an acceptable format

• A Photocopy of the information page of your valid passport or travel document

• Two Photo meeting the requirements of the Visa application photograph specifications, link. On the back of the two photos, write your name and date of birth.

• Proof of Financial Support

• Photocopy of your Marriage License/Certificate

• Purpose of Travel

• Photocopy of your current immigration status

• Minors travelling alone or with one parent must provide custody documents or a letter of authorization from the other non accompanying parent of a letter of authorization sighed by both parents or legal guardians.

• Any additional documents required by the responsible visa office.

• Letter of invitation

• Proof of Relationship

• Travel history

• Itinerary:Documents that show how long you plan to stay and what you’ll do in Canada.

• Account statement

• Employer information

• Identity document
